With my road season officially over, I attended the Alan Kelly Criterium with my other favorite weapon of choice: my camera. I’ve never shot any bike racing with a 70-200m lens, so I was pretty excited to give it a go. (Many thanks to Bjarne for the loan!) While I mostly shot video (part of a larger project I’m working on), I was still able to get a few stills.
The Alan Kelly Criterium, put on by Bayou Country Cyclists, is a great event and I strongly suggest you make the trip next year. A technical crit course in downtown Thibodaux, generous purses and delicious jambalaya, it had all the things any crit racer would ask for.
